The project „Auf KURS in die Zukunft – Kooperation Schule-Wirtschaft gestalten“ of the initiative of the European Union EQUAL deals with the easier access of teenagers to the apprentices and labour market.
The following targets are at the centre of attention:

• Early Job-orientation
• Reliable co-operation between companies and schools
• Development/ Promotion of competences of scholars, teachers and companies
• Intercultural sensitization
• Development and testing of analytical instruments in the fields of self-development

The target region for this project is North Rhine-Westphalia focussing on the Ruhr region and the Bergisches Städtedreieck. Both regions facing high unemployment due to the structural change.

The main target group of the initiative are scholars of the last two grades of different schools of general-education focussing in the fields of secondary and special schools as well as medium-sized companies. Special emphasis is placed on youngsters with a migration background.

„Auf KURS in die Zukunft“ is promoted by the European Social Fund and is implemented by six national and four European partners.
